Task Timer — Privacy Policy

The short version

Task Timer collects no data. We don't collect your data and we don't track your child — Task Timer connects to Apple only to handle the optional one-time purchase, and nothing else.

What we collect

Nothing. Task Timer has:

• No accounts or sign-in.
• No ads.
• No analytics or tracking of any kind.
• No servers of ours. The app's only network use is Apple's StoreKit, to show, process, and restore the optional one-time purchase. Apple handles the transaction; we never see your payment details.
• No third-party services or SDKs.

Purchases

Task Timer offers a single optional one-time purchase ("Unlock Everything"), processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Payment is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy; Task Timer receives only Apple's confirmation that the purchase is owned, and that confirmation stays on the device. Purchases are covered by your device's purchase settings, including Ask to Buy for families.

Information stored on your device

Task Timer stores the following only on your device, using Apple's standard local storage:

• Setup answers (age range, focus level, task type, session length, reveal-image choice) and app settings (theme, sounds, haptics, spoken cues, reduced motion, movement prompts, custom durations).
• Photos you choose to import are saved inside the app's private storage on the device so the timer can gradually reveal them while your child works. The app uses Apple's photo picker, which means Task Timer never gets access to your photo library — only the individual photos you select.

Deleting the app deletes all of this data permanently. We have no copy — we never had one.

Children's privacy

Task Timer is set up and managed by parents and used by children and teens. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects no personal information from children. There is no chat and no sharing. The only purchase is the single one-time unlock described above, processed by Apple and covered by your device's purchase settings (including Ask to Buy); the only link out of the app opens this policy.

Notifications

Task Timer can show local notifications (for example, "break time is over"). These are scheduled entirely on the device and can be declined or turned off at any time in iOS Settings.

Changes to this policy

If the app's privacy practices ever change, this page will be updated and the effective date revised before any change takes effect.
